Merely Players

So, I have just been invited to a Shakespeare-themed party this Saturday. Although not compulsory, showing up in costume is encouraged. Now, I like to think that I'm a pretty creative guy, and I like The Bard as much as anybody (athough I have to admit that I like reading about him more than reading him), but in practical terms, I'm just not good at costumes.

Still, I'm compelled to come up with something. Ideas I have tossed around in my head already include a toga (well, a white sheet, anyway), cutting down and carrying around tree limbs, and Hamlet.

Dressing up as Hamlet wouldn't be too hard:
Dress all in black, tighter fitting black pants paired with a looser fitting black top fit the part best. For an even more authentic looking Hamlet costume pair a white collared shirt with a looser black tunic. (source)
That's easy. Most of the props (belt, boots, dagger) should be easy to get/make, too. But the skull? I could try to craft one with papier-mâché, I guess. Or just print a photo of a skull onto cardbord... I don't know.

Any suggestions?

I like the photo-on-cardboard idea! It's funny!
And yay, costume party!

I actually made a papier-mache one! I will post a photo of the costume once it's finished!
